Race Results

Beginning with the first race of the new year, I will be posting all races that I compete in and the results of that race.

My first race of the new year ended up being a last minute thing for Yamaha. I am riding with Danny Cooper at Best in the Desert's

I won the 4-stroke championship and #1 rider of the year for District 37 (desert) and

running in the dust when another motorcycle rider (not a participant in the race) crossed the course in front of me. Attempt made to avoid hitting the rider and I hit a dirt berm and the rest in history. I made a trip to the hospital and got a cat scan and a full body x-ray. Everything A OK. Rung my bell, though.

I teamed with Honda factory rider, Andy Grider and raced with Honda for the very first time. I would like to thank Bruce Ogilivie and Johnny Campbell for giving me this opportunity to participate as a Honda rider. That has been one of my goals to achieve in my lifetime, and I've been most fortunate to attain that goal at 19 years old.

Andy did a great job of passing and getting out front. We were able to hold our 1st in class, 1st overall position for the win at THE INAUGURAL RUNNING OF THE BAJA MEX 300 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE. I'll be looking forward to defending that win next year.

I rode for Honda of America again with Andy Grider for Best in the Desert's final race of the 2002 series.
